Refreshing & Easy Low Carb White Wine Sangria

The aroma of fresh peaches from the farmer’s market and the joy of a sunny Sunday afternoon with loved ones makes the perfect setting for a homemade low-carb white wine Sangria, paired delightfully with pizzas crafted with love.

Creating this low-carb Sangria starts with choosing the freshest fruits – peaches, honey crisp apples, raspberries, lemon, and lime. Selecting fruits that are in season and at their peak ripeness will ensure a naturally sweet and flavorful Sangria. On this occasion, peaches and raspberries from the local farmer’s market were the stars of the drink.

To start, slice your apples and peaches — I like to slice them very thinly – and place the fruits in a pitcher and add a half cup of Monk Fruit sweetener, a natural and low-carb alternative to sugar that doesn’t compromise on the sweetness. Gently mix the fruit and sweetener, making sure every piece is coated but not crushed, maintaining the integrity of the fruits. This careful muddling ensures the fruits release their natural juices and flavors, enriching the Sangria without overpowering it.

After the initial muddle, introduce a quarter cup of either brandy or cognac, adding a layer of complexity and depth to the beverage. A gentle stir is all it needs before pouring a bottle of a no sugar added white wine, such as a refreshing and crisp aline, melding the elements together harmoniously.

Once all the components are mixed, the pitcher finds its place in the fridge, allowing the flavors to intertwine and intensify while the pizzas are lovingly prepared. After a minimum of thirty minutes, the Sangria is ready to be served over ice, ensuring a cool and refreshing experience with every sip.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small peach thinly sliced
  • 1 small apple thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 lemon sliced
  • 1/2 lime sliced
  • ½ Cup Monk Fruit Sweetener
  • ¼ Cup Brandy or Cognac
  • 1 Bottle No Sugar Added White Wine e.g. Avaline

Instructions
 

  • Place fresh fruits in a pitcher and add Monk Fruit sweetener.
  • Gently mix to coat the fruit with the sweetener, avoiding crushing the fruit.
  • Add brandy or cognac and give a gentle mix.
  • Pour in a bottle of no sugar added white wine and mix gently.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • Serve over ice and enjoy your refreshing and easy low-carb white wine Sangria.
