I love Summer…for so many reasons but mainly, because we can enjoy days lounging in the sun, grilling on the barbecue, and perfecting summer cocktails! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love me a good cocktail, so making keto-friendly low carb cocktails is kinda my jam. So, for the rest of this glorious season, I’ll be sharing a new cocktail each Friday that is low carb, low sugar, and full of flavor!
First up: my twist on the Paloma – a grapefruit and lime-infused delight that is so light and refreshing, you’ll want to make a pitcher for those hot summer days!
One of the key ingredients in many of my low carb cocktails is sugar-free simple syrup. While you can buy these online or in stores — Lakanto makes a great one — you can very easily make it at home too. I have a simple recipe for simple syrup here.

Low Carb Paloma Cocktail
Equipment
- cocktail shaker
Ingredients
- 2 oz reposado tequila
- 3 oz grapefruit juice freshly squeezed
- 1/2 oz lime juice freshly squeezed
- 1 oz low carb simple syrup see link for recipe
- sparkling water
- ice
Instructions
- Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and low carb simple syrup.
- Shake well to combine.
- Pour into glass with ice and top with sparkling water.
- Garnish with lime slices or rosemary sprigs.
