I made this keto cranberry margarita on a whim last night because the holiday spirit hit me this hard! We started to put our holiday decor up, I got a holiday manicure and whipped up this delicious keto cranberry margarita to sip on while decorating and making our first batch of keto holiday desserts and treats which I’ll be posting soon.
Cocktails are allowed while following a keto lifestyle — we just have to watch out for hidden sugar. Thankfully, there there are plenty of techniques to make your favorite holiday cocktail recipes keto friendly. This keto cranberry margarita is so delicious and has insane flavors thanks to the combo of cranberry juice, lime, keto triple sec and a touch of orange essence. I like to garnish mine with dried blood oranges and rim the glass with a little extra sweetener.?
Keto Triple Sec is a recipe I love from the keto mixologist at BoozyKetones – I highly recommend you follow them on Instagram and bookmark their keto triple sec recipe – which is what I would normally use in this keto cranberry margarita recipe – however the keto triple sec recipe takes weeks to make. I started a batch today so that I can make my holiday cocktails with it just as Christmas week approaches but for now, a great dupe is to add orange essence to my keto simple syrup recipe for that festive, low carb cocktail today.
Happy holidays! I’d love to hear about what you’re whipping up for the holidays and if you have a holiday recipe you want me to make low carb and keto-friendly for you – let me know in the comments below! Also – if you make this keto cranberry margarita – let me know how you liked it!
