A certified nutritionist and self-taught chef with a love for entertaining and experimenting with food, Lolita Carrico created Ketology after struggling for years with her own hormonal changes and weight gain. After having two children, she found that managing her weight and moods became more and more of a struggle. After researching the ketogenic diet thoroughly and understanding the science and nutritional aspects, she began her keto journey in 2018. Within three months, she shed 25 pounds and her mood improved, focus sharpened and her energy was through the roof. Four years later, she has maintained a 65-pound weight loss and has learned to intuitively follow a balanced keto lifestyle without sacrificing a thing!

Halo Top introduced a line of keto-friendly ice cream earlier this year which seriously changed the game for when you need a frozen treat! While Halo Top has been the reigning king of low calorie ice creams, they still weren’t keto-approved because of cane sugar as part of their sweetening mix. The new Halo Top Keto Series uses stevia and erythritol for sweetness and each pint comes in at under 10g net carbs each – that’s for the WHOLE PINT, not just per serving! A full pint is three servings, so while I know plenty of folks who could finish a whole pint of ice cream in a sitting (which I don’t recommend), I found myself feeling satisfied after just half a serving which is the perfect way to end the day with a low-carb treat.

All of the Halo Top Keto Series flavors are delicious – they’re available in:

  • Peanut Butter Chocolate: One of life?s best combos, peanut butter and chocolate, come together with peanut butter, mini peanut butter cups and chocolate swirl.
    Calories/pint: 630
    Net Carbs/pint: 8g
  • Caramel Butter Pecan: Buttery caramel syrup and pieces of roasted pecans swirled into this made this one of our favorites.
    Calories/pint: 460
    Net Carbs/pint: 5g
  • Chocolate Cheesecake: One of our favorite desserts in frozen form, with cheesecake pieces in a chocolate base.
    Calories/pint: 470
    Net Carbs/pint: 10g
  • Jelly Donut:?How fun is this? This flavor features a strawberry swirl and actual glazed donut pieces!
    Calories/pint: 450
    Net Carbs/pint: 7g
  • Berry Swirl: This was another favorite – loaded with blueberries and strawberries, then layered with a swirl of both syrups.
    Calories/pint: 410
    Net Carbs/pint: 8g
  • Banana Cream Pie: Grandma?s favorite dessert just got a makeover, with creamy bananas, chocolate syrup and pie flavors.
    Calories/pint: 500
    Net Carbs/pint: 8g
  • White Chocolaty Macadamia Nut: Rounding out the series is another one of our favorites – with macadamia nut and white chocolaty goodness.
    Calories/pint: 460
    Net Carbs/pint: 8g

My sons and I taste tested each of them – and it was really hard to choose our favorites. I loved the Berry Swirl and Caramel Butter Pecan the best, while the boys said the Jelly Donut and Peanut Butter Chocolate topped their list.

Halo Top’s Keto Series is available in stores nationwide at $5.99 per pint. Use their handy store locator to find these at a store near you!
