Kettle & Fire, makers of my hands-down favorite bone broth, just released a line of ready-to-eat Keto soups that are all DELICIOUS and quick to heat and serve. If you don’t know about the benefits of bone broth vs regular broth, here’s a quick overview:
What is Bone Broth?
Unlike traditional broth which is made from meat and is thinner in consistency, Bone Broth is made from chicken or beef bones (hence the name) and cooked for hours to break down the cartilage which results in a thicker, almost gelatinous texture that’s loaded with collagen and protein – which is great for skin, hair and nails and your gut. And, it’s so much more flavorful!
I like to make bone broth in my instant pot however it does take a LOT of time, so I always have Kettle & Fire’s bone broth boxes in my pantry and was thrilled that they release their Keto soups. I was a huge fan of Trader Joe’s soups in my pre-keto days and loved to add chicken, veggies and goat cheese to them for a quick but filling meal. This simple to make in a rush meal was something I certainly missed and even more so when it’s cold out, so why Kettle & Fire asked me if I wanted to try their new soups, I couldn’t wait to get them .
Available in four flavors – Butter Curry, Mushroom Bisque, Spicy Cauliflower and Broccoli Cheddar – each of the soups are delicious warmed up on their own, however I added either chicken, fresh vegetables or cheese to well, soup these up a bit more.
Kettle & Fire Keto Spicy Cauliflower Bone Broth Soup
This cauliflower soup has a wonderful spicy, creamy texture thanks to the blend of cauliflower puree, coconut milk, and chicken bone broth. I added grilled chicken strips and a hit of cayenne to pack even more protein and heat.
Kettle & Fire Keto Butter Curry Bone Broth Soup
The Butter Curry soup is my favorite – it’s got a mild curry flavor, not too overwhelming so the bone broth flavor still comes through. I added chicken again to this along with a touch of sour cream and fresh cilantro.
I haven’t tried their Broccoli Cheddar or Mushroom Bisque varieties yet – but will soon and update this post!
